Conversations With Fire

I wrote to you and You,
unexpectedly;
wrote back to me.

Arose a tide of overnight love;
three years in the making,
Bewildered, scared; unprepared,
I sat with my heart pounding, aching.

All this while seeing things as I do,
Not seeing, the sight You had too.
I approach to bask in Dragon flame,
the inferno itself, knew me only by name.

Holding on to, what of You;
rebuilt from memory, I now remember.
Unnoticed; until I do,
my every act seeks You,
like ash seek'th ember.

Zeus's spark, when I approached,
For evermore to stay near the blaze,
My blizzard bitten bones to blame,
the blessed ignited, broke the gaze.

So I'll stay beyond your silent fence,
Throw a rock your way, now and then.
in hope that you'll find the ore;
sometime years and decades hence.

When you do; look beyond your moat.
You'll find a man, still strung to the name,
Held by death, or still drawing breath.
warm from; to your flare, his claim.

A claim he lays, now steeped in longing and desire,
to conversations he had once held with Fire.

When Needed

Hear me slip these words,
into the folds of your mind.

For you in years hence,
like money in trousers, to find.

Calm a panicked heart,
while the winds howl around.

With these words now forgotten,
in tempest, strength bound.

For you

Moving mountains, parting seas,
Deeds that lovers please.
Wooed love, admantine.
To be loved beyond dying.

That love, is for the strong,
Like life, lopsided; mostly wrong.
Fighting evils within the self,
This love I feel is a saving grace.

I won't kill dragons to win your affection,
Nor shout to the world my mind.
I'll hand to you, with shaking knees,
my being and a knife.

Last Man Standing

When men collide in the ring
The body is the first to go.

What keeps them up, fighting
Is their will, "not yet! no!"

Yet, what keeps me going,
are my fears, "Atelophobia. Go!"

In this fight betwix life and me,
Will nor fear, shall guide.

What will define moi, in this ring,
with all will and fears banding.

Is that with all my soul!
I want to be the last man standing.

Recurse

Uninvited, shoved into life,
somewhere someone snuffed someone alike.

Some years then, she was taught,
about all of society's beautiful rot.
Imbibed into her, the rules
of ancient men, nay, absolute fools.

Mind chained by religion and common talk,
she mends and strengthens her own padlock.

A place so lonely not even tears come by,
the one's she's raised, she's raised in tie.

Her blood and flesh, in store for worse,
unknowingly will, this verse recurse.

The Programmer

Fingers raced, soul ablaze.
Beauty birthed, from sweaty gaze.

Witnesses sighed, as it all came together,
off the board and into the theater.

Acclaim echoed, what dexterous fingers!
How subtly, on this verse she lingers!

The master played, by the strain, roused.
She played knowingly, to a deaf house.

Simple Harmonic Motion

It's just a reaction, I don't really want this.
The hormones are acting up, that's all it is.

If I just ignore it, the chemicals will go away.
There is no meaning in this, yearn as I may.

It has happened before, nothing is new.
Time and again, I have begun to love you.

Others have stood in your place.
Yet you are the only familiar face.

Perchance something more it is.
This recurrent return, I think I really love you miss.

I love you?

"I love you." Is a statement and yet is almost never just that. It embeds in itself, a question when stated for the first time. It asks the listener a question of reciprocation. Do you love me?

I find that it is exceptionally difficult to ask this "statement" and yet when analysed it offers no explanation. If you do not ask, you can never know that s/he loves you and so you will surely never be loved. Yet if you ask, there is at least a chance s/he loves you.

The difficulty I believe arises in the superficial analysis. If you take into account that I love someone without knowing if the feeling is mutual, I run the risk of loving someone who does not love me back. If I do not ask the question, I run this risk.

If however I do ask this question I run the risk of knowing that s/he does not love me back. This possibility of pain in the future overshadows the pain of not knowing anything and thus this statement is difficult to "state".

For all those people in the world who do not tell their loved ones how loved they are, you should. This world needs more love in it.

I Aim At Hash

Trickled along, drop by drop,
Evident yet, unstopped.

Ignored as a minuscule thing,
Silently cumulating.
You look at where it's going,
Surprised, there is an ocean growing.

You'll look for her start morn,
Like water for fish she's gone,
Drop by drop,
She has gone beyond your grasp.

Memories you did not live,
Words you did not give,
Now that you've started to talk,
You're afraid she might stop.
She has gone beyond your grasp.

The distance is a pain,
Wonder if she feels the same,
There's none you can blame,
'cause when she was there,
You refused to seize the day.
Never was she in your clasp.
She has gone beyond your grasp.

I implore you,
Lady of his dreams,
Grant him this wish and let him be,
By your side until to a stop,
His heart bleeds.

Maybe she will come back,
But if only you could only ask.
Drop by drop,
She has gone beyond your grasp.

They are gone

I thought there would be music,
I was wrong,
Colours would become vivid,
Noise to birdsong.

My world should have changed,
I was wrong,
Like every other friend,
Like every other bond.

I should have noticed,
I was wrong,
You won't see your love,
Until they are gone.

My all

You are my light
my solace, my balm,
my peace, my calm
in this raging storm.

You are my shelter,
my cradle, my hope,
my thread of existence,
my only rope.

You are everything
to me, my love.

Ether and light

Dark ether, spread around
no light, yet dark found

some shy, some bright,
these twinklers put up a fight,
against your rage against light.

Woe on the fate of a star,
Their death not known,
for years after their war.

Along comes a demon so bright,
slaying your minions,
o ether against light.

You battle with all your might,
slowly killing this ogre of light,
fifteen days, ether vs light.

only to arise,
feeding on the pain,
of a multitude of starry demise.

This ogre shall rise,
for dark ether, spread around
there is light and so you're bound.

Mistakes

Some years, some days ago
I came across a girl.

Not like any I haven't seen,
a life of another kind.

The wrath of Gods,
titanic and slow to rise,
swells within, dullness dies.

This mute heart screams,
A cry of pine, in my dreams.

I yearn for her,
some years, some days now.

O lovely thing

O lovely thing of god's creation,
how long I have fed my eyes,
yet with every passing sun I,
can not quench this thirst of lies.

Your mirth gives birth,
to a smile which so,
makes my mind forget all dearth,
of love, I have no more.

Leave my side I beg of you,
for you were never here,
yet O godly thing on earth,
the yearning is mine to bear.

I have loved you, or have i not?
from a universe away,
so why do I still feel so near,
while I keep you at bay.

O godly thing, are you not?
a beauty so angelic it shines,
I am none so special
not angel nor demon but
measly human in your eyes.

Courage I have none,
not even the strength,
all i have is the pine.
Is that why you have been aloof,
for I never made you mine?

The unseasonal rain

The tears of a titan in eden,
Unseasonal like a fickle storm.
When all are wrapped in putrescence,
Comes the unblessed pelting.

Those drowned in fear lift their head,
those near end have hope again,
the titan cries healing tears
when none expect.

This rain so clear washes away,
the dreary dreaded despair,
Those clouds rumbling in the sky,
fill me with will again.

I thank the blessed titan,
giving me fuel in a drought,
Hope my efforts will bear fruit.
That some day like this unseasonal rain,
I will do something good.

A fall

The season of fall is hither,
Leaves parted from eternal matrimony,
A trivial affair
the wind sweeps them away and the night ends in tragedy.

Their true love excised,
colour leaves their being fading from
lively green to a dead yellow.

In their mourning they move in droves,
gathering on the sad old earth to create
dunes of death.

The animals frolic in their demise and turn rue to glee,
Each stomp entombing the widower in the earth,
witnessed by the peerless wind so treacherous.

Come morn the men sweep away
the deluge of mirthless remains.
Relics of a love lost ,amour turned sour.
This is the season of fall.
